Even though I knew she was incredibly influential in the women's rights movement, I had not realized the extent of her involvement. She is also the co-founder of the first legal journal specifically dedicated to women's rights issues. Apparently, she was denied a clerkship upon graduating from law school due to the fact that she was a woman.
